ABOUT

Matt brings more than 18-years of commercial real estate experience specializing in both tenant and landlord representation throughout the United States.  During his tenure at Terra National, Mr. Hershey has created and implemented a national real estate expansion and disposition strategy for Vision Care Holdings operating as Eyeglass World and The Lasik Vision Institute and Max-Wellness, a retail concept created by the founder of OfficeMax.  Currently he manages the four state expansion program throughout the Midwest (Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky & Michigan) for Pet Valu, Inc., a leading boutique pet supply retailer with more than 700 stores in the U.S. and Canada.  Additionally he serves on the team providing disposition, lease restructuring and special project services to Advance Auto Parts stores.  Mr. Hershey has significant experience in acquisitions and land assemblages for potential ground up development for Terra National clients.  Mr. Hershey is also part of the team that represents Five Below and Art Van Furniture Stores in northern Ohio, as well as Sears Outlet Stores and DSW Shoe Warehouse throughout Ohio.

 

Mr. Hershey began his career with CB Richard Ellis as an associate with the investment properties group where he was involved in the financial, market, and property analysis as well as the marketing efforts for investment properties across all property types.

 

From, CB Richard Ellis, Mr. Hershey continued his career with U-Store-It Trust / Amsdell Companies as the Director of Leasing and was responsible for all leasing and management activities for the approximately 1 million square foot national portfolio of retail, office and industrial properties.  His title grew to include Director of Acquisitions where as a member of a two person team, he acquired approximately $1 Billion worth of self-storage properties over a two year period.

 

Mr. Hershey earned his B.S. in Finance from Miami University.  He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
