ABOUT

Matt has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience with a specialization in representing retailers and restaurant users throughout the United States.  During his tenure at Terra National, Mr. Hershey has developed and implemented local, regional and national real estate expansion and disposition strategies for users such as Vision Care Holdings (Eyeglass World/The Lasik Vision Institute), Pet Valu, Inc. (boutique pet supply retailer), Max Wellness (health and wellness concept created by the founder of OfficeMax, Michael Feuer), Designer Brands, Inc. (DSW), Bank of America, Five Below, Phenix Salon Suites, America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, McAlister’s Deli, Art Van Furniture/Pure Sleep, the family of Xponential Fitness concepts, as well as many other national brands.

Additionally, he plays an active role on the teams providing disposition, lease restructuring and special project services for both Inspire Brands and Advance Auto Parts.  Mr. Hershey also has extensive experience in acquisitions and land assemblages for ground up development of Terra National clients.

Mr. Hershey began his career with CBRE as an associate with the Investment Properties Group where he was involved in financial, market and property analysis, as well as the marketing efforts for assets across all property types.

From CBRE, Mr. Hershey continued his career with U-Store-It Trust / Amsdell Companies as the Director of Leasing and was responsible for all leasing and management activities for the approximately 1 million square foot national portfolio of retail, office and industrial properties.  His title grew to add Director of Acquisitions where as a member of a two person team, he acquired approximately $1 Billion worth of self-storage properties over a two year period.

Mr. Hershey earned his B.S. in Finance from Miami University.  He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
