Rob has centered his 27-year career on providing the finest client service in the Real Estate industry. As a principal and co-founder of Terra National, Rob continues to maintain and expand client relationships through the execution and development of their real estate strategies.

Rob has successfully represented and continues to handle the implementation of local and regional real estate objectives for retailers such as Ross Dress For Less, Target, Bank of America, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW, Dave & Buster’s, Five Below, Pet Valu, Field & Stream, Golf Galaxy, Blink Fitness, Tesla, Lyft, The Home Depot and Banfield Pet Hospitals. Rob has recently facilitated the new market entries of Fresh Thyme Farmers Market and Ross Dress For Less stores in Northern Ohio and the first flexible format Target store openings in Ohio at The Ohio State University and University of Cincinnati.

Rob began his career as a leasing director for Developers Diversified Realty Corporation where he successfully managed the leasing for a wide variety of shopping centers throughout the rapidly expanding multi-state portfolio of properties after their successful IPO. He then joined Doppelt & Company, the preeminent national tenant representation firm in the industry, which was later acquired by Trammell Crow Company. Rob immediately began working on the national brokerage team for OfficeMax, Inc. in a territory that began with a few states and quickly grew throughout the Midwest. Additionally, Rob acted as the real estate representative for Riser Foods in Northeast Ohio, spearheading the new store expansion and strategic relocations of Riser’s Rini-Rego Supermarkets, the grocery market share leader at the time prior to being acquired by Giant Eagle.

Rob, along with partner Jack Barson founded Terra National and worked as the national strategic real estate partner to OfficeMax, Inc. from 2000 – 2008. Rob focused primarily on new site selection and relocations of OfficeMax stores across the U.S. and Caribbean. This process included the continuous strategic analysis of activity within the office supply industry and executing on the company’s aggressive store opening objectives in those markets deemed to be a priority. Rob attended and presented at every OfficeMax Executive Real Estate Committee meeting, and ultimately completed more than 300 store opening or relocation transactions along with the successful disposition of roughly 240 leased properties nationwide.

Rob and the Terra National team successfully worked as a strategic real estate partner to Office Depot throughout 27 states from the Midwest through the Pacific Northwest. From 2008 – 2012, over 275 transactions including lease renegotiations, lease terminations, sale-leaseback’s, disposition of both owned and leased assets, plus additional special projects were completed on behalf of Office Depot.

Additionally, Rob worked with A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts on the successful implementation of their real estate strategic plan throughout their operating territory from Maine to Florida from 2005 – 2012. Rob also headed the national execution of Furniture Brands, Inc. new and excess real estate activity for their individual brands including Thomasville, Lane, Broyhill, Drexel Heritage Furniture Stores.

Rob attended The Ohio State University where he earned a B.A. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. On occasion, his expertise has been drawn upon as a speaker at regional industry conventions, as well as a subject matter expert in legal proceedings.
